Grab your friends, family, or colleagues, and team up once again for Pelham Chamber Waist Away Challenge!

The Pelham Chamber of Commerce strives to impact our community in many ways, and this year we are working to promote our community as one of health and wellness.

The Waist Away Challenge is a twelve week weight loss competition in which individuals and teams encourage each other to live a healthier lifestyle through nutrition and exercise. Our teams have an opportunity to win $400 cash as a whole. Cash prizes will be awarded to the Male Individual ($50 Cash Prize), Female Individual ($50 Cash Prize) and Teams (1st Place – $400, 2nd Place – $200 & 3rd Place – $100 Cash Prizes) with the highest percentages of weight loss.

Weigh-ins will be every Thursday from 7:30 am-5:30 pm beginning August 8th,2019, and ending October 31st, 2019. Individual registration is $25, and Teams are $75 (Teams can consist of up to 4 people).

GENERAL RULES:

1.Participants may register in one or more of the following categories: Male Individual, Female Individual, or Team.

2.Teams consist of up to FOUR members. The winning team must have at least TWO active members on the team at the end of the competition.

3. Teams must have a Team Captain and a Team Name.

4.Pregnancy results in automatic and immediate disqualification from the Waist Away Challenge.

5. Participants that undergo any procedure or surgery that results in significant weight loss during the competition will be disqualified. Participants are not allowed to use weight loss medication either.

6. All participants must be 13 years of age by August 8th, 2019. Any participants under the age of 18 must include the signature of the parent or guardian on the Registration Form.

7. All fees are NON REFUNDABLE.

8. Shoes must be removed for weigh-ins. T-shirts and shorts are recommended for weigh-ins.

9. Pelham Chamber of Commerce employees, Board of Directors and members as well as all event sponsors and employees are allowed to compete.

10. Each participant is allowed to miss three weigh-ins during the duration of the competition with the exception of Weeks 1 and 12.

11. If your weigh in shows you have gained weight, you will be required to pay a $1 per pound gained each week. You will not be able to weigh-in again until this is paid,and it will count towards your missed weigh-ins.

12. Winners will be determined by the largest percentage of weight loss, not by actual pounds lost.

13. Changes or clarifications to the rules may be made at any time throughout the competition with or without knowledge or consent of participants.

TEAMS:

REGISTRANT, PLEASE BE SURE SURE TO ADD AN ADD-ON TICKET FOR EACH ADDITIONAL PERSON ON YOUR TEAM.

You will be allowed to add up to 3 add-on tickets to complete a team of 4. If you have less than 4, you will only need to add on enough tickets to cover each team excluding yourself. We must have an additional ticket for each team member to receive the entire teams registration information. If registration is not filled out for that individual, then they will not be included in your team.
