The UGA Small Business Development Center at Valdosta State University is a public service outreach unit that provides business and economic development assistance for Atkinson, Berrien, Brooks, Clinch, Coffee, Cook, Echols, Lanier, Lowndes, and Thomas Counties in South Central Georgia. As part of VSU’s Harley Langdale, Jr. College of Business Administration, the UGA SBDC is an essential resource for small businesses. Practical experience, combined with advanced education, gives our consultants the ability to apply current business theory to the challenges faced by today’s entrepreneurs.

The Georgia Chamber has introduced the Georgia Chamber Federation, a partnership with local chambers focused on grassroots advocacy – working to empower our state’s small businesses by providing them with the information and resources necessary to actively engage their elected state officials and local leaders.
